I’ve been using the By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash for a few years now and it’s one of my favourite enzyme exfoliating cleansers so when I heard By Wishtrend launched a milky foam cleanser version I was ecstatic and needed to try it. Wishtrend kindly sent me the By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Milky Foaming Wash, for review purposes and after using it regularly for the past few months I’m here to share my experience.

Dispense 1 pump onto wet hands. Lather well and then gently massage onto the wet face with the foam. Thoroughly rinse with lukewarm water.

Quantity & Packaging
140ml in pale muted pastel green plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. I like the colour and design of the bottle a lot, however, two things bother me a bit about the pump dispenser. The first thing is, once you twist up the pump it doesn’t go back down and it doesn’t come with a stopper clip either so it’s not suitable to take travelling as is; the other issue is, every morning when I go to pump out the cleanser I find there is some initial resistance as the dispensing hole is always blocked by a dried up bit of cleanser which is annoying. I’ve included a picture of the dried-up cleanser plug below.
Scent
Unscented.
Appearance & Texture
A pale cream-coloured condensed milk-like texture that lathers into a smooth creamy foam when mixed with water.
My Experience
The By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Milky Foaming Wash pumps out in a milky creamy texture that reminds me of condensed milk. It then lathers to a rich creamy foam when mixed with water and feels really smooth while working it into the skin. The whole process is very aesthetically pleasing and feels great too.
It’s no secret that I have a fondness for foam cleansers but I have to make sure it’s the type that has added moisturising properties so that my skin isn’t parched after using it. Thankfully, the By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Milky Foaming Wash is really gentle on the skin and doesn’t dehydrate or leave my skin feeling tight. It contains 52% green tea water as well as oatmeal, soybean seed and rice extracts, centella asiatica and ceramide NP which contribute to the nourishing, soothing, smoothing and balancing effects. Another key ingredient is papain which works as an enzyme exfoliator to gently remove dry flaky dead skin cells. With all of that, I found my skin feels really comfortable, clean and soft, with improved texture and clarity over time.
The By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Milky Foaming Wash removes impurities and light makeup really well but is not enough on its own for heavier makeup or to remove sunscreen, in fact, I usually double cleanse with an oil cleanser first regardless and then go in with the By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Milky Foaming Wash to give my skin a thorough yet gentle cleanse.
The By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Milky Foaming Wash has become my favourite cleanser of the year and although it’s suitable for daily use, I prefer to use it every other day so that I can alternate with my trusty By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash, for a bit more exfoliating action. If you’ve used the By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash and found that to be a little irritating, the By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Milky Foaming Wash is a much gentler version and worth a try. Also while the powder version has a natural earthy green tea leaf smell, the By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Milky Foaming Wash doesn’t smell like anything to me so if you are sensitive to smells of any kind, you’ll prefer this option. I personally find both of them to be gentle yet effective enough for me and I’m fine with both the natural smell of green tea and no smell at all, so they’re both on my forever repurchase list.
By Wishtrend makes some fantastic products and I’ve got to say the By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Milky Foaming Wash and the By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash are hands down the best of the bunch so I’m actually hoping for them to expand this line further someday; I suggest a milky green tea moisturising cream (fingers crossed).
