Review | Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50+ PA++++

I’ve heard many great things about the Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum and even though I already had a lot of sunscreens in my collection I just had to add this into the mix and see what I think.

Although it was the latest addition to my collection, I’ve actually almost finished it so that should give you a hint of what’s to come in this review. I’ll be sharing my full review including some general product information as well as what I think of it for my skin type.

Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-fit Sun Serum

Quantity & Packaging: 50ml in a soft white squeeze tube with a baby blue pump and cap. The pump packaging is so convenient and easy to use. I also really like the minimal blue and white colour combination as it fits well with the product name.

Scent: No artificial fragrance and no noticeable natural scent either.

Appearance & Whitecast: A white cream that blends into the skin with no white cast on my light-medium skin tone.

Texture & Finish: A lightweight hydrating thin lotion-like serum texture. The finish is natural with a hint of dew.

My Experience

I’ve always been a fan of sunscreens with a lightweight, watery feel and a refreshing, non-greasy finish. My go-tos in the K-beauty realm have been the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel and the d’Alba UV Essence Waterfull+ for their airy textures. On days when I crave a bit more creamy moisture and dewiness, I turn to the Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sun Cream and Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics. So, when I came across the Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum, I was eager to see if it could match up.

And boy, did it deliver! The Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum quickly earned a spot in my top five sunscreens. It’s the lightest of the bunch yet still wonderfully moisturizing. Plus, it’s completely unscented, which gives it an edge over the d’Alba option.

The convenience of the pump applicator is a game-changer, making me reach for this sunscreen more often than any other in my collection. Because I’ve been using it so frequently, it feels like it’s running out faster than my other sunscreens (the others last longer because I keep switching between them). I’m saving the last few pumps for special content but definitely plan to repurchase once I’ve used up more of my stash.

Under makeup, the Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum performs beautifully. It doesn’t pill or make my skin greasy, even with foundation on top. It leaves my skin looking natural and feeling incredibly lightweight, without interfering with my makeup.

Besides its sun protection benefits, I love the other wonderful skincare ingredients packed into this sunscreen. It boasts centella asiatica, birch bark, and green tea leaf extracts, as well as various forms of hyaluronic acid. These ingredients offer a host of benefits, from antioxidant protection and skin soothing to hydration and balance. Importantly, it hasn’t caused any breakouts or irritation, and it’s one of the few chemical sunscreens that doesn’t sting my eyes.

My combination dehydrated, spot-prone skin loves the Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum, and I think those with oily skin will appreciate it too. While very dry skin types might prefer something richer, this serum is still worth a try—perhaps layered over a nourishing moisturizer. For me, it serves perfectly as a moisturizer and SPF in one, streamlining my routine.

It’s easy to see why this sunscreen has become so popular, you’ve just got to see for yourself!
