Review | Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser [AD]

Wishtrend kindly gifted me the Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser in exchange for an honest review, so in today’s post, I will be sharing some general information about the cleanser as well as my experience with it so far. I did also mention my first impression of this cleanser in my 5 Skincare Favourites for Wishtrend Cruelty-Free Brands Promotion Week 2021 post back in May, so now that we are in July and I’ve continued using it daily I have more to say about it.

There isn’t any artificial fragrance but it does have a slight fresh scent naturally occurring from the ingredients.

Appearance & Texture

A clear gel cleanser that turns into a rich creamy lather when water is added.

My Experience

I first heard about this cleanser through one of my favourite skincare youtubers ‘EuniUnni’, a lot of her recommendations are usually on point with what I like, so I knew I had to give this cleanser a try, considering how often she raves about this being her go to cleanser not only for her face but also her body.

I’ve been using it for the past few months as part of my morning skincare, and I’ve got to say this is one of the best gel cleansers I have ever used. I use half a pump and add water to lather the gel up, and when I massage it over my face it feels luxuriously rich and creamy. It’s quite easy to wash off when I use half a pump, however at first when I used a full pump it felt quite soapy when washing off so took a bit of time; I figured I don’t need a full pump and half a pump has been much better for me. The cleanser feels quite conditioning during the cleansing process as well as after it has been washed off. My skin does not feel stripped of it’s natural oils, it just feels clean, fresh, soft and comfortable. It’s a very gentle yet effective fuss-free cleanser.

My husband also likes using this cleanser, which is saying something as he’s not usually a gel cleanser type of person, but as this gel lathers up into a rich cream it feels similar to the creamy foam cleansers he’s used to using.

As for using it in the shower for my body, I only just started trying that for the past 2 weeks and I found that as it lathers and spreads very easily, 2.5 pumps is enough for my whole body including my face and I still have half a bottle left. I think if I used it this way everyday it would last only a month, however if I use it just for my face it would last a lot longer. I find that a lot of body washes leave my skin feeling dry and looking flakey however using the Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser has been a nice gentle and much needed change as I’ve found my skin to be in a better condition post shower.

I know this cleanser is meant to be for the face and is sized accordingly, but as it works so well for the body too I would love for Rovectin to come out with a bigger size option.

I’d recommend the Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser to anyone looking for a simple, gentle yet effective gel cleanser.
