Review | Klairs Supple Preparation All Over Lotion [AD]

In this post I’ll be sharing my thoughts and experience with using the Klairs Supple Preparation All Over Lotion that Wishtrend kindly sent to me for review purpose. I requested to try this lotion in particular to up my after shower body care routine which was slightly neglected and as I’ve heard great things about this lotion I had to give it a go. I’ll start with some general product info and then continue on to my experience.

Description

Head to toe moisturization with a single jumbo tube. This light lotion quickly absorbs into the skin without stickiness of clumping. Generously apply over the body for irritation-free moisturization on sensitive skin.

*As per description on Wishtrend website.

Ingredients

Water, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sodium Hyaluronate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Sorbitan Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Beta-Glucan, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Microcrystalline Wax, Cyclopentasiloxane, Betaine, Ceramide NP, Polyquaternium-51, PEG-100 Stearate, Illicium Verum(Anise) Fruit Extract, Citrus Paradisi(Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Dimethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Chlorphenesin, Carbomer, Arginine, Citric Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Althaea Rosea Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Apium Graveolens (Celery) Extract, Brassica Oleracea Capitata (Cabbage) Leaf Extract, Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Extract, Brassica Rapa (Turnip) Leaf Extract, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit/Leaf/Stem Extract, Natto Gum, Centella Asiatica Extract, Disodium EDTA, Lysine HCL, Proline, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Acetyl Methionine, Theanine.

Quantity & Packaging

250ml in a large squeeze tube, with a flip top lid. The large tube is fine to hold but I found it a bit fumble-y while going back for more to get a good amount of lotion for my body. I think a pump dispenser would be even more convenient as I wouldn’t need to hold/ squeeze the bottle with slippery hands, and it would also prevent squeezing out too much in one go.

Klairs Supple Preparation All Over Lotion

Scent

No artificial or natural fragrance.

Appearance & Texture

A thin white lotion that spreads evenly and smoothly over the skin and absorbs well without an uncomfortable residue.

My Experience

The Klairs Supple Preparation All Over Lotion has proven to be quite the multi-tasker for me in the few months I’ve used it so far. While I mainly use it for my body, I also have used it from time to time on my face, as a general hand cream and on the ends of my hair which Wishtrend have as a tip on their website. I enjoy using it in all the suggested ways as its quite effective and comfortable.

The texture of the Klairs Supple Preparation All Over Lotion is thin with a little bit of body just as you would typically expect a lotion to be, so it very easily spreads over the skin and feels lightweight yet still adequately moisturising. As its so lightweight it absorbs well too and doesn’t leave a sticky, tacky or greasy residue. It also doesn’t pill up into rolls if you subconciously rub your skin after a while.

If you’ve used the popular nourishing Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream, think of this as the lightweight runnier version in a bigger tube as the ingredients lists are pretty similar. Being such a large size means the Klairs Supple Preparation All Over Lotion will last a long time, especially if you use it for smaller areas such as your face, hands and feet, however if you do use it as a body lotion then it will still last a decent standard amount of time.

Using it on my hands has been great as it absorbs well without leaving an uncomfortable clammy or greasy feeling on my palms and between my fingers – that heavy feeling is something I hate on my hands so I’m really happy this lotion doesn’t do that.

Using a tiny amount of the Klairs Supple Preparation All Over Lotion on the very ends of wet hair after showering and before blow-drying has also been a nice experience as its super lightweight and doesn’t make my hair stiff and crispy nor greasy, the cream just coats the ends and absorb in nicely making them less frizzy and slightly healthier looking. It’s not something I would use on my hair all the time as I have some designated haircare products with more striking effects, but it does still do a decent job.

My legs and arms in particular are drier than the rest of my body so in the cold winter months I need to use a cream that is thicker and more heavy duty and the Klairs Supple Preparation All Over Lotion is slightly too light in that case, however the rest of the year when the weather is warmer this lotion is perfect.

I haven’t experienced any breakouts, clogged pores or irritation from this lotion, and its been really comfortable to use. I’d recommend it to anyone with combination skin who wants a fragrance-free lotion that is lightweight, easily absorbed and leaves a soft, smooth moisturised finish.
