Ingredients

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Water, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Pinus Palustris Leaf Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Flower Extract, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Beta-Glucan,Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyacetophenone

Quantity & Packaging: I have a 20ml travel size, however the full size 200ml. The bottle is a semi-transparent brown where you can see the liquid through it. It has a white screw-on lid and when you unscrew it you will see a plastic stopper plug at the opening with a small hole for dispensing the product that allows you to shake out a decent amount of product without excess spillage/ wastage.

Appearance & Texture: A brown tea coloured liquid that very lightweight, thin and runny like water. It looks a bit like the concentrated liquid you would get if you where to dip a tea bag in water then take it out and squeeze it.

Scent: It doesn’t have any artificial fragrance but it does have a very subtle natural tea leaf scent which is barely noticeable.

My Experience

I mentioned in the unboxing post that I was excited to try the Isntree Green Tea Toner as my skin loves green tea and centella asiatica which are both high up in the ingredients list.

When using this toner, I actually quite liked the tea colour and hint of natural tea scent that comes from it if you get a good whiff. What I loved even more was how lightweight and non sticky it is allowing me to layer it multiple times without feeling any buildup on the surface of my skin. Upon application, it feels really refreshing and hydrating and then it absorbs really quickly with no trace of tea colour or staining. I layer it a few times as just one layer sometimes isn’t hydrating enough.

Because of how lightweight and watery it is, I can easily apply it either with my palms or with cotton rounds. Using my palms gives more of a refreshing and hydrating feel whereas using it with cotton rounds gives cleaner and smoother feel.

I did notice that it does sting open cuts and pimple sores a bit, but it also helped with the healing process and I didn’t get any additional breakouts when using it.

It seems to be doing a good job at regulating my skins sebum production without mattifying it, just keeping my pores clear and my skin fresh, bright, soft and supple.

For my combination acne-prone skin, this is a perfect toner for summer use, and I do like using it during other seasons too but for the colder autumn and winter months I would applying something more hydrating with it.
