Review | I’m From Pear Soothing Pads [AD]

In today’s post I will be sharing my review of the I’m From Pear Soothing Pad that was kindly gifted to me by Wishtrend in exchange for an honest review. I used these little toner pads on and off for the past 2 months whenever I wanted a refreshing soothing effect but review spoiler alert: I really could have used it every day and night because I love it and I’ll explain why later in this post. I’ll first share some general information about the essence and then talk about how it was for my combination/ acne-prone skin.

Description

75% of wild pear extract soaked soothing pad.
This soothing pad contains 75% of Wild Pear Leaves, which delivers rich hydration with plant-based hyaluronic acid. With the main ingredient of pear called luteolin, it features an immediate cooling and soothing effect on irritated skin. The 2.55-inch size pad will make the skin moist and smooth with an eco pure cotton pad, leaving a light and fresh finish. Recommended for flushed skin and sensitive skin that needs cooling & hydration.

How to use:
After cleansing, gently wipe your face in the direction of skin texture except for the eyes with the pad. Leave the pad on your skin for 3 minutes for a quick soothing effect.

Quantity & Packaging

60 pads in a round cream coloured tub with a dark yellow lid. It has a little plastic hygiene cover to protect the product from dust or accidental spillage, however, it’s quite flimsy so the liquid can leak a bit as mine did in transit. On top of the plastic cover, sits a small pair of plastic pincers to hygienically pick up a pad at a time without having to use your fingers, but I usually just wash my hands and pick the pad up as it’s less fussy.

Scent

There isn’t any artificial fragrance and there also isn’t any natural scent that I can detect.

Appearance & Texture

The cotton pads are round and 2.55 inches in size. They are an off white coloured material with dark brown flecks which is natural in unbleached pure cotton. The unbleached cotton kind of adds to the pear vibe in my mind, but really it has nothing to do with the pear ingredient and just the cotton material itself. The cotton pads are soaked in a clear watery but slightly viscous essence toner that absorbs very quickly without a sticky residue.

My Experience

I wasn’t sure about Pear as a skincare ingredient but I do quite like the ease and simplicity of using toner pads and soothing skincare is something I gravitate towards so I thought I’d give the I’m From Pear Soothing Pad a try.

To clarify what I wrote at the beginning of this post, I didn’t actually use this every day because I was trying to use it sparingly so only used it on days I wanted to soothe and refresh my skin. As there are 60 pads, if I used it day and night continuously this would have lasted a month or 2 months if I cut them in half, but because I had been saving them for SOS situations I still have more than half a tub left. Really and truly though the feel of these toner pads and the effect it has on my skin makes me want to use them at least once a day. Usually, regular toners last me way longer and they end up going past their expiry date, so pre-soaked pads are a good way of ensuring the product gets used up. This does mean I’d have to repurchase it frequently though.

So what made me love the I’m From Soothing Pad so much? Simply put, it’s lightweight but actually feels like it’s hydrating my skin properly from within and doesn’t leave an uncomfortable residue or clog my pores. On top of that, it really does soothe and refresh the skin instantly. I love that you can swipe it over your face, or leave it on specific areas as a sheet mask to help cool down your skin and calm redness. My husband really enjoyed using this too as his cheeks often get hot and flushed and this helps him cool down and reduce the redness a lot.

Another good thing is that the cotton pad material texture is not rough at all and feels soft and gentle when swiped over the skin, not causing any irritation.

I have been using the I’m From Soothing Pad with the I’m From Pear Serum which works really well together to boost the effects and gives more smooth lightweight hydration and moisture to the skin.
