In today’s post I will be sharing my thoughts on the I’m From Mugwort Cream that was kindly gifted to me by Wishtrend in exchange for an honest review. I’ll first share some general information about the ampoule and then talk about how it was for my combination/ acne-prone skin.

This cream is formulated with 73.55% Mugwort Extract. The refreshing and gentle formula quickly absorbs into the skin without sticky feel to restore the skin to its original softness and health.

Scent

The I’m From Mugwort Cream does not contain artificial fragrance but it does smell heavily of Mugwort. I’d describe the scent as earthy/ herbal/ medicinal. It’s quite strong and lingers for a while until the cream fully absorbs.

Appearance & Texture

A a white coloured light-medium weight cream with a smooth nourishing texture that doesn’t feel sticky.

My Experience

I’ve previously tried the I’m From Mugwort Essence and I’m From Mugwort Mask and if you read my reviews of those you’ll know why and how much I loved them, so to round off the mugwort routine, I thought I should give the I’m From Mugwort Cream a try too with high expectations and it did not disappoint.

I’m quite fussy when it comes to creams as I want something light enough to absorb quickly and not leave a layer of film but still hydrating and moisturising enough for my skin to feel nourished and healthy. The I’m From Mugwort Cream has been perfect for my needs, because it delivers exactly that.

I found the cream to absorb quickly, quenching my dehydrated skin’s thirst. Upon application it also feels quite soothing and refreshing and leaves a smooth skin-like yet plump finish. There’s no sticky or tacky residue and my pores don’t feel clogged after using it which is great. It really just leaves my skin feeling very comfortable in a basic but much appreciated way.

The only thing that bothered me at first was the lingering scent of mugwort that this cream can have depending on how much you apply. Some people might not like the natural scent of mugwort but I usually don’t mind it as it’s quite therapeutic for me, especially in the case of the I’m From Mugwort Mask and I’m From Mugwort Essence which I love the smell of, but for some reason the cream smells a bit stronger to me which I didn’t like the first few times, but ended up getting used to it or rather ignoring it as I love the texture of the cream so much.

This is the type of cream I could use all year no matter if the weather is hot or cold. I could also use it for both morning and night routines but as I had some other products I was testing out around the same time I mainly used this every other night.

I love how it pairs so well with the essence from the same line, never feeling sticky when layered together. The calming and soothing effect I get when using the whole routine: Mask > Essence > Cream is also amazing and definitely a whole set that I would repurchase again.
